We highly recommend Kohlmaier for tree work. Not only did they trim deadwood off a number of trees and cut down 2 very large oaks neatly (picking up all branches before leaving), but they put pads on the side of our house to protect windows and a glass door from the stump grinding that was very close. They also put large mats on the edge of our driveway to protect the edge of the edge of it from their large equipment. When all was done, I thought we would have to go on the roof to clean up twigs and branches there, as I saw a lot on the roof earlier in the day, but when I looked later I saw that the crew cleaned every last twig off our roof! That was VERY appreciated! They were responsive and responsible in their interactions with us.

Luke and his team are truly exceptional in excavation and tree service. They partnered with our plumber to replace a main line and were utterly professional, efficient, and communacative. Additionally, they removed 4 very large trees with stump grinding. He came with a hardworking and obviously experienced crew. His equipment appeared nearly new and obviously well maintained. Haven’t hired them yet but I got a free demonstration. We have a big picture window in our kitchen watching them take down a couple trees in some state land next to our property. These guys work great and with great teamwork. I will definitely consider calling them about tree removal in the future! Good job!

We had a bit of storm damage this January – a huge tree at the outside edge of our horse paddock came down in the middle of the night, smooshed our fence, and landed right on our hay shed pretty much flattening it. This became a complicated job because our type of fence doesn’t break so this immense root ball was hanging off one side of the fence while the end of the tree lay on what was left of the shed. And this arrangement was keeping the fence up and the horse in. We had one estimate that would have had the root ball left there and taking the fence down the rest of the way. We networked a bit more and met Luke – and he came up with a plan. Around 7:45 a small army showed up. Excavators, dump truck, Ditch Witch, bucket truck, chipper, 47 chain saws; I lost count. And the nicest bunch of rugged tree men you could ever want to meet. What a pleasure these guys were. We chatted, they checked out the horse, and through it all I could approach Luke with a question or a suggestion – and he listened. He knew my real concern was the fence would be left standing. He said it would be and it is. And, of course, the cost, very reasonable. Let me also put in a good word for Lacey in the office who always answered the phone or returned a message, and was always interested and concerned and super helpful. A pleasure to work with. If you need tree work or any kind of property work done call Kohlmaier first and they will do an amazing job at a great price.

Kohlmaier did a great job trimming deadwood and taking down 2 very large oaks in our yard. They cleaned up every last branch including everything on the roof; that was very appreciated!!! They also protected the windows and a glass door on the side of our house when they ground the stump close by. They put large mats on the driveway where they drove their heavy equipment as not to damage the edge of the pavement. They were professional, safe, and thorough. Their price was fair for the job they did and we were extremely happy that we decided to go with this company.
